Ordering Methods
You can purchase our books from most good bookshops.
Or if you prefer, our books can be ordered directly from us by the following methods after you have confirmed the book you want is available:
- Use our secure Catalogue and Shopping Cart system. See instructions below.
- Email your order to us on: info@esa.co.nz
- Fax us a completed order form (fast and secure)
- Phone your order by calling 0800-372-266 (0800 ESA BOOKS).
- Post the order form (slow but essential if you are paying by cheque)

Using our Online Catalogue and Shopping Cart system
Books can be searched for on our online catalogue. Book details will be shown along with the option to see some samples and the contents pages. Once you have found a book in the catalogue you can order with a credit card or, if you are teacher in a school, you can order for the school and charge the school's account.
To search our catalogue use the search bar on the catalogue page. You can search by type, year and subject.
For example, to search for ALL YEAR 12 Mathematics books enter the following.
Your search results will be displayed with the option to view sample and contents pages or to order securely online with the menu following.
To order a book, find it in the catalogue and click order. You will be directed to the shopping cart. You can return to the catalogue and order more books by clicking the continue shopping button.
You can modify book quantities, add more titles or delete books from your cart. Click the refresh and recalculate button to update the shopping cart once you have made changes.
The cart will automatically calculate the total cost of your purchase and any discount you may receive for purchasing 3 or more books. Click to see pricing.
When you are happy with your order use the "Proceed to Checkout" button to enter your shipping details, contact information and to either pay by credit card, or if a teacher's purchase, on your school's account.
If you are a cash customer, paying with a Master Card or Visa, fill out your details in the left hand column and click "Proceed to Payment" when you have checked your contact details are correct.
You will see the secure credit card payment page below. Fill out your credit card details and click "Continue with Purchase" when you have checked it is correct. You will receive an order and payment confirmation immediately by email and the books will be sent within 2 working days
If you are a teacher ordering books for your school and are charging the school, fill out the right hand column and click "Order" when you have completed all the necessary details and checked they are correct. You will receive an order confirmation immediately by email. Your order will be sent to ESA and your school. Your books with an invoice will then be sent within 2 working days.

International Prices
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST of 12.5%.
If you are an international buyer, divide the GST inclusive price by 9 to get GST amount, which is then deducted from the GST inclusive price.
Example. The GST amount for Year 12 NCEA English Study Guide is $29.95 / 9 = $3.33. So the international price for this book is $29.95 - $3.33 = $26.62.
New Zealand : delivery in New Zealand is by courier and costs $4.00 for 1 to 2 books shipped together and is free for 3 or more books shipped together, which covers freight and handling.
International : please contact ESA Customer Services for freight/delivery costs.
Payment
Unless you have an account with us, payment must be made before an order is sent. Payment can be made by:
- Using the online Shopping Cart service on this website.
- Posting a cheque with your completed order form
- Phoning, faxing or emailing details of your Visa or MasterCard.
Please check stock availability before placing your order.
To avoid delays, make sure you provide your name, card number and expiry date accurately. We do not accept Amex cards.

In order to keep you up-to-date with our titles, we will keep your details on file. These records are kept on our own computer and are totally secure. You have the right at any time to update or correct the information we hold.
